Des - Co-Founder & Managing Director
Having worked at a high level with both the UK’s largest franking machine manufacturers, I knew there was an opportunity to offer customers a better customer service focused experience. After leaving a well-paid director’s role I founded Mailcoms with my wife Nicky in our family home in Cannock, Staffordshire back in 2005. Once franking machines started taking over the lounge, dining room and our children’s playroom we had to take the plunge and invest in our first business premises back in 2008. I’m proud to say that things have moved on a lot since then, with our most recent significant investment in purpose-built warehousing, service & distribution, and improved office space for our wonderful team.
Outside of work I like to keep myself active with taking part in endurance events including Marathons, ultra-Marathons, Ironman triathlons and charity cycling. Training for these events helps me plan our business strategies, solve problems and most of all helps promote a ‘healthy body & mind’. ...Read more
