How to turn on Accounts on the Quadient IN300 / IN360 and create, edit, import and export accounts to track and control postage.
How do I turn on Accounts on the IN300 / IN360?
The Accounts feature lets you track and control postage by department or company. Turn it on by setting the Account Mode in Supervisor mode – users then choose an account at the start of each session and can switch accounts as needed.
- Log in as supervisor.
- Press Menu.
- Select Account Management and press OK.
- Select Account Mode Selection and press OK.
- Select the account mode you want.
- Press OK to confirm.
- If asked, enter the PIN code and press OK.
How do I create an account on the IN300 / IN360?
Add accounts from the Account List once Accounts mode is on.
- Press Menu.
- Select Account Management and press OK.
- Select Manage Accounts and press OK.
- Select Account List and press OK.
- Select Add Account and press OK.
- Enter the account number and press OK.
- Enter the account name and press OK.
- Set the status (active or inactive) and press OK.
- Press OK to confirm the new account.
Note: To type letters on the keypad, press a key several times like a mobile phone (for example, press 6 twice for N).
How do I edit, deactivate or delete an account on the IN300 / IN360?
Open an account from the Account List to change its name or status, or to delete it. The account number cannot be changed once the account is created.
- Log in as supervisor and press Menu.
- Select Account Management and press OK.
- Select Manage Accounts and press OK.
- Select Account List and press OK.
- Select the account and press OK.
- Select Edit / Modify, change the name or status and press OK.
- Press OK to accept the changes.
Note: To delete an account, open it as above and select Delete. To change an account number, delete the account and create a new one.
How do I import or export account lists on the IN300 / IN360?
Back up or bulk-edit accounts by exporting the list to a USB key as a CSV file, editing it, then importing it back. Imported accounts are added to the existing list.
Export:
- Log in as supervisor, press Menu, select Account Management and press OK.
- Select Manage Accounts and press OK.
- Select Export Account List and press OK.
- Insert the USB key into the port at the rear left of the base and press OK.
- Follow the on-screen prompts, then remove the key when told.
Import:
- Log in as supervisor, press Menu, select Account Management and press OK.
- Select Manage Accounts and press OK.
- Select Import Account List and press OK.
- Insert the USB key and press OK.
- Select the CSV file to import and press OK, then follow the prompts.
Note: The CSV file must be in the root of the USB key, named in the format ACS_yyyymmdd_hhmmss.CSV, using a semicolon field delimiter and a new line between records.
How do I change the shared PIN code on the IN300 / IN360?
Change the shared account PIN from Account Management in Supervisor mode.
- Log in as supervisor.
- Press Menu.
- Select Account Management and press OK.
- Select Change PIN Code and press OK.
- Enter the new PIN code and press OK.
