Postage Account Changes – Transition from Purchase Power to PAYG and PrePay updates

Upcoming Changes to Your Pitney Bowes Postage Payment Options: What You Need to Know

Pitney Bowes is streamlining its postage payment systems, and we want to ensure you’re informed and prepared. As part of these updates, the Purchase Power™ payment option will be retired in 2025. To support a smoother transition and provide greater flexibility, we are introducing two alternative payment options: Pay As You Go (PAYG) and PrePay.

Here’s what these changes mean for you and what actions you may need to take.

For Customers with an Existing Direct Debit

If you already have a Direct Debit set up, you don’t need to do anything right now. Your account will be automatically migrated to the Pay As You Go (PAYG) option. We’ll notify you when your account is ready for migration and send you a welcome email once your new PAYG account is active.

For Customers Without a Direct Debit

If you don’t have a Direct Debit in place, you’ve been sent an email asking you to choose your preferred payment method – either PAYG or PrePay – by 9th May 2025.

Important:

If you don’t respond by this deadline, you may lose the ability to add postage or produce shipping labels on your account. If you’ve already made your selection and received confirmation, no further action is needed.

Your Postage Payment Options Explained

1. Pay As You Go (PAYG)

  • Add postage as needed.
  • Invoices are generated immediately and paid via Direct Debit.
  • Requires signing a new postage agreement and Direct Debit mandate.

2. PrePay

  • Pre-load your account with an Agreed PrePay Balance (APB).
  • Invoices are generated each time 25% of your APB is used, replacing the old monthly invoicing system.
  • Works with or without a Direct Debit.
  • You may select a different APB amount if the one in your email doesn’t suit your needs.
