2031 Royal Mail Postage Prices
The Royal Mail have now announced price changes to their postage tariffs for franking machine s and stamps. The good news is that using a franking machine still offers a 35% saving over using stamps which is a massive 17p off the price of a second class stamp.
This discount continues to offer customers the great benefit of cheaper postage costs with the Royal Mail through a franking machine.
The biggest change to this years pricing tariff is the Royal Mail no longer use the format ‘Packet’ or the ‘Standard Parcel’ and have now made it easier by combining these two types which are now called ‘Small Parcel’ and ‘Medium Parcel’. This new pricing structure also now allows you to use the Royal Mail’s ‘Recorded / Signed For’ service on items up to 20kg and now both 1st and 2nd class options are available. Both new parcel sizes and classes can be accessed via your franking machine and will come into effect from the 2nd April 2013.
A small parcel is max. weight of 2kg and max dimensions of 350mm x 450mm x 80mm
