How does the IS330 / IS350 connect?
The IS330 / IS350 connects to add postage and reach Online Services either through a high-speed LAN (local area network) or, on some installations, an analogue telephone modem.
How do I set the Online Services connection on the IS330 / IS350?
Choose the connection type from Communication Settings in Supervisor mode.
- Log in as supervisor.
- Press Menu.
- Select Communication Settings and press OK.
- Select Type of Connection and press OK.
- Select LAN and press OK.
Note: If the LAN was not plugged in you will see a warning – check the cable and try again.
How do I set the LAN parameters on the IS330 / IS350?
Use automatic configuration unless your network needs manual settings.
- Log in as supervisor and press Menu.
- Select Communication Settings and press OK.
- Select LAN Settings and press OK.
- Select AUTO to configure automatically (recommended), or MANUAL to set values yourself.
- For a standard setup, set DHCP on, DNS Auto on and Half Duplex, pressing OK to confirm.
How do I set up an analogue modem on the IS330 / IS350?
If the machine connects by phone line rather than LAN, set the modem parameters from Communication Settings.
- Log in as supervisor and press Menu.
- Select Communication Settings and press OK.
- Select Modem Settings and press OK.
- Enter the parameters as required, pressing OK through each screen until you return to the Communication Settings screen.
