How to zero and recalibrate the weighing platform on the Quadient IS240 / IS280, and what to check when the scale is not weighing correctly.
How do I zero the scale on the IS240 / IS280?
Zeroing resets the displayed weight back to zero. Press the Menu button, open Job Settings, select Zero Weigh Platform, clear the platform and confirm.
- Press the Menu button.
- Select Job Settings and press OK.
- Select Zero Weigh Platform and press OK.
- Remove all items from the scale and press OK.
- The unit displays ‘Weigh Platform Zero Successful’. Press OK.
- Press the Home button.
How do I re-zero (recalibrate) the scale on the IS240 / IS280?
A re-zero physically recalibrates the platform and is done from Supervisor mode. Use it if zeroing alone does not correct the reading.
- Press the Menu button.
- Select Supervisor and press OK.
- Enter your PIN code and press OK.
- Select System Settings and press OK.
- Select Zero Weigh Platform and press OK.
- Remove all items from the scale and press OK.
- The system displays ‘Weigh Platform Zero Successful’. Press OK.
- Press the Sleep/Wake button to exit Supervisor mode.
Why is my IS240 / IS280 scale not weighing correctly?
An incorrect weight is almost always caused by something interfering with the platform rather than a fault. Check the following first:
- Vibration or air drafts in the weighing area.
- Something touching or resting on the weighing platform.
- The weighing platform zero is not correct.
To correct it, place the machine on a solid, steady surface away from any door or fan, clear the weighing area, and re-zero the platform as described above.
