Resolving two steady lights on your Label Printer

Issue

Your label printer is displaying two steady lights during your installation process instead of a single steady green light.

Cause

You have a later version of software.

Resolution

1. Tap “Continue” when ready. Either one or two solid lights indicates that your printer is ready.

Resolving an Exception when installing or uninstalling the Mac Driver on your Label Printer

Issue

An exception error occurs when installing or uninstalling the Mac driver for the label printer.

Cause

This error is seen on Macs running OS 10.14.5 or later and is caused by updated software.

Resolution

1. When the message “Software_PBSP100CupsDrv_MAC_v1.0.0_Installer.pkg” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software shows, Click “OK”.

2. Open System Preferences and click “Security & Privacy”.

3. Click “Open Anyway” button.

4. Click “Open”.

Solid red light on the label printer

Issue

The red light on the label printer is on and it will not print.

Cause

The printer is not operating correctly, or you have not set the paper size correctly.

Resolution

Solution 1: Restart the printer

1. Unplug the power cord. The screen should turn off after 10 seconds.

2. Wait 2 minutes.

3. Plug the power cord directly back into a wall outlet. Check that the wall outlet is functioning correctly.

4. Quickly tap and release the power button to turn the device back on.

If this fails to resolve the issue, go to solution 2.

Solution 2: Reset the printer

1. Open the printer’s top cover and wind the media back onto the roll so that it is clear of the feed rollers and sensors, then close the cover.

2. Press and hold the reset button on the back of the printer. Continue holding this button while you perform the next step.

3. While still pressing the reset button, press the Stop/Resume and the Feed/Cancel buttons simultaneously until the left LED on the front panel turns solid green.

4. Open the printer’s top cover and feed the label so that it is 6mm out of the printer.

5. Press and hold the Stop/Resume and the Feed/Cancel buttons simultaneously until the transport rollers begin to move the media. Immediately release both buttons when the media begins to move. The media should advance one label and the left LED should be solid green.
