DM400M Envelope Messaging Support

1. To download the logo you need to select “Options” and scroll down until you find “Connect Data Centre” on the machine. Select this option. Once selected, find and select the “Uploads and Downloads” option.

2. You will now be prompted to “Get Update Now”, you need to click “YES”.

3. Once the machine has finished doing the download, press the “Home” Key/button to return to the “Select A Carrier” screen.

4. At this point select “Ad” then select the Logo you desire.

Once you have done this, you will need to Save the logo so it’s on at all times. Do this by following the below:

1. Press the Options key.

2. Press Page Down and select “Preset Options”.

3. Select “Set Normal Preset”.

4. Press “OK” to confirm.

Please proceed as follows:

1. From the home screen select “Ad”.

2. Select your Envelope Message image (formerly logo). You may need to use the Page Down key to locate the desired envelope message. This may be or the name of your company or your order number composed by seven numbers and one additional letter. You may also be offered special Envelope Message images for special occasions as Easter or Christmas.

Note: Please observe that you have to select a class BEFORE you save your Envelope Message image (formerly logo). Furthermore, you have to select the Envelope Message image you wish before saving.

Please proceed as follows:

1. Press the Options key once.

2. Use the Page Down key to scroll and select “Preset Options”.

3. Select display message “Set Normal Preset”.

4. Display says “Current Settings OK?”. Confirm by pressing “Yes or OK”.

5. Select the Home key to return to the home screen.

Note: This function allows you to print any Envelope Message text (formerly text message) you wish beside franking. Please observe you can print an Envelope Message text or your Envelope Message image (formerly logo). To Create your Envelope Message Text please follow the steps below:

1. Press the Options key once.

2. Use the Page Down key to scroll and select “Text Messages”.

3. Select display message “Create new messages”.

4. Select the general note that will appear on the display. Confirm by pressing “Accept and Continue”.

5. The display shows a message “Enter Name”. You need to give the message a name.You can choose the letters on the keyboard underneath the cover. Confirm by pressing Accept.

6. Choose the line where you want your Envelope Message text to begin (1 from 5).

7. Enter the Envelope Message text as you wish. It can consist of 5 lines of 20 letters as a maximum. To go to the next line, select display message “Edit Next line”.

8. Once you have finished your Envelope Message text, select display message “Accept”

9. Confirm again by pressing Enter.

10. You can create another text message or select the Home key if completed.

Note: Please be aware that you will be required to select your Envelope Message text (formerly Text Message) before you are able to save it. To Save your Envelope Message Text please follow the steps below:

1. Press the Options key once.

2. Use the Page Down key to scroll and select “Preset Options”.

3. Select display message “Set Normal Preset”.

4. Display says “Current Settings OK?”. Confirm by pressing “Yes or OK”.

5. Select the Home key to return to the home screen.

To Select your Envelope Message Text please follow the steps below:

1. Starting from the home screen select display message “Text Msg”.

2. Select the message you require by using the keys on the left side of the display. You may need to use the Page Down key to locate the desired message.

To Delete your Envelope Message Text please follow the steps below:

1. Press the Options key once.

2. Use the Page Down key to scroll and select “Text Messages”.

3. Select display message “Delete Messages”.

4. Select the message you need to delete by using the keys on the left side of the display. You may need to use the Page Down key to locate the desired message.

5. Confirm by pressing “Yes, Delete”.

6. You can delete another text message or select the Home key if completed.
