Single Walled Postal Boxes

Brown single walled cardboard boxes are designed to offer high-quality protection and reliability at lower prices to that of thicker cardboard. Single wall boxes are our most common packaging supply and one of the most common packaging types you will come across in the packaging and postal industry. All of these boxes are manufactured from 60% to 90% recyclable materials & they are made from a single layer of sturdy quality cardboard. There are a variety of dimensions, sizes and options available in our range and they are suitable for both professional and personal usage.

A single wall cardboard box is a packaging solution that is manufactured from a single wall of cardboard instead of multiple walls of cardboard. This means that the boxes are made from a single layer of high quality cardboard that offers great protection and reliability.
Single walled cardboard boxes are one of the most popular mailing box types in the UK and they are used for packaging almost any type of product that needs to be shipped in the post. Single walled cardboard boxes are perfectly suited to protect lighter items & objects, but heavier items up to roughly 10 Kg can be shipped in them if needed. Single walled packing boxes are perfect for packaging almost any type of items ranging from trainers to kitchenware to ornaments (as long as they are protected with void fill).

We can supply both single wall and double wall cardboard boxes – but what is the difference exactly? A single wall cardboard box is the most common type of cardboard box. They consist of one fluted medium piece of cardboard between two sheets of linerboard.

A double wall cardboard box however is thicker and therefore stronger meaning they can hold larger items more securely. They consist of two fluted medium pieces of cardboard sandwiched between three sheets of linerboard.

The answer to this is both! We know that sounds confusing so bear with us. Both types of cardboard box are manufactured from high quality cardboard and perform the job they are intended for. However, the type of box you require will vary package to package based on the content you are sending. If your items are heavier than normal items (such as dumbbells), then a double wall cardboard box is what you need. But if your items are quite light (such as trainers), save the money and get a single wall cardboard box that will do the job just as well. Our best advice is do research into your items and base the decision on this information. Or for further help and assistance please do not hesitate to contact Mailcoms where we will be happy to assist.

A multiscored cardboard box is a feature that is included with some of our single wall boxes. When a box is multiscored, this means the depth of your carton can be reduced slightly to a pre-scored dimension, by cutting down the existing slots (between the flaps) and folding along the pre-scored crease. Multiscore products are clearly listed in the product listings and, where applicable, are marked on the inside of the boxes.
