To add to the problem like most Franking Machine Ink cartridges they are micro chipped so if you refill them they also need to be reset.

The FP Mailing - Francotyp Postalia franking machine Ink cartridges are made from HP 45 ink cartridges but filled with UK red franking ink. This HP 45 print cartridge is very durable and can be refilled and reused at least 5 or 6 times.

The good news is Mailcoms Ltd are the first company in the UK to offer a refilling and resetting service. For our service we will refill your ink cartridges test the print heads and reset the cartridge.
